About the Role

Macrobond is seeking a driven and results-oriented Mid-Market Account Executive to accelerate our growth within the mid-market segment. In this role, you will focus exclusively on acquiring new customers and driving revenue growth in your defined territory. Leveraging a consultative sales approach, you will work closely with prospects to understand their needs and position Macrobond’s market-leading economic and financial data solutions as the answer.  This is an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to Macrobond’s success as we expand our presence in the Americas.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • New Customer Acquisition: Identify, engage, and convert mid-market prospects into clients by showcasing the value of Macrobond’s solutions. Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to deal closure.
  • Sales Execution: Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets by creating and implementing strategic account plans tailored to your market.
  • Consultative Selling: Build strong relationships with prospects, understanding their challenges and providing tailored solutions using Macrobond’s data and technology offerings.
  • Market Development: Leverage prospecting tools, sales enablement platforms, and outbound campaigns to expand Macrobond’s footprint in your territory. Use insights from your market to refine your strategy and share trends with internal teams.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with global counterparts and internal teams to ensure seamless coordination on cross-border accounts and shared opportunities.
  • Client Partnerships: Foster long-lasting relationships by acting as a trusted advisor to prospects, helping them understand how Macrobond’s solutions can drive better decision-making.

Essential skills/qualifications

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Experience: 3–4 years of sales experience targeting the financial markets or 5+ years as a BDR, with at least 1–2 years of direct selling experience. Previous SaaS experience is essential.
  • Quota Management: Proven success in achieving or exceeding sales targets in a quota-carrying role.
  • Sales Tools Expertise: Familiarity with CRM systems like Salesforce and sales enablement tools such as Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and ZoomInfo to drive prospecting efforts.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Economics, Finance, or Business Management is preferred.
  • Skills: Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and writing skills, combined with an ability to engage and influence mid-market decision-makers.

  • A self-starter mindset with a strong work ethic and drive to achieve ambitious targets in a fast-paced environment.
  • A consultative approach to sales, with the ability to understand client needs and propose tailored solutions.
  • Curiosity about finance and enthusiasm for learning about financial markets and how clients use data to inform decisions. An interest in macroeconomics is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong organizational skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools like Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • An analytical mindset and the ability to adapt to changing market conditions and client requirements.
