We are seeking an exceptional Sales Leader to build, lead, and scale high-performing sales teams for both mid-market and enterprise segments across the U.S.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Team Building and Leadership:
    • Recruit, develop, and retain top-tier sales talent for separate mid-market and enterprise software sales teams.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.
    • Provide mentorship and development opportunities to enable teams to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  2. Sales Strategy Development:
    • Define and implement distinct sales strategies for the mid-market and enterprise segments, tailored to their unique needs and buying processes.
    • Establish clear performance metrics and benchmarks.
    • Continuously optimize the sales process to improve efficiency and win rates.
  3. Revenue Generation:
    • Drive aggressive revenue growth for both mid-market and enterprise segments.
    • Own the sales forecast and ensure consistent achievement of revenue goals.
    • Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer success teams to align efforts and maximize outcomes.
  4. Market Penetration and Expansion:
    • Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify new opportunities.
    • Drive market share expansion through strategic account acquisition and retention.
    • Develop strong relationships with key customers and partners.
  5. Operational Excellence:
    • Leverage data and analytics to monitor team performance and adjust strategies as needed.
    • Implement CRM best practices to ensure accurate reporting and pipeline management.
    • Manage budgets effectively to maximize ROI.

Essential skills/qualifications

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of sales experience, with at least 5 years managing and scaling successful sales teams.
  • Proven experience building and managing high-performing software sales teams in both mid-market and enterprise segments.
  • A track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth in a SaaS or software environment.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate diverse teams.
  • Strong understanding of the U.S. software sales landscape, including customer buying behavior and competitive dynamics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Data-driven mindset with proficiency in CRM tools and sales analytics.
  • Ability to manage complexity and thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.

Desirable skills/qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience scaling sales teams in a high-growth environment.
  • Industry knowledge in economic and financial research is an advantage but not required.
  • Familiarity with enterprise sales methodologies such as Challenger, MEDDIC, or Sandler.
